Besides providing a comprehensive edition of Tannahill's poems, songs, and correspondence, this website aims to truly transform Tannahill and his writing through the application of digital humanities tools and close reading explications to his work and life. Possible future projects include analyzing sentiment in Tannahill's poems and songs compared to his letters, or in his letters over time; examining the impact of Tannahill's newly recovered sonnet; exploring Tannahill's place in the Scottish Romantic-era canon compared to Burns; and deciphering his death through the lenses of suicide and depression in his letters.
